Spiced Beets

These delicious little jewels are perfect for the holidays – or any time! We love them!
Spiced Beets
3 cans small/ medium whole beets, drained
1/4 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Place beets in a medium saucepan with remaining ingredients. Simmer spiced beets for about 10 minutes until sauce is thick and bubbly.
