Every sunrise offers a fresh start – the Bible tells us that His mercies are new every morning! As we wake up each day, attending to the needs of our families and homes, it’s helpful, no – essential to center our tasks, routines, and even our joys around our faith.

Today, I am excited to introduce a brand new challenge just for you!

As a full-time wife and homemaker – and mom of many – my mornings set the tone for our day. If my morning goes well, I’ll usually have a productive day and feel good about how my day went. But when I let the mornings get away from me or we start off on the wrong foot, I’m likely to feel like I didn’t accomplish what I wanted to accomplish for the day.

And having a good morning isn’t just important for me as a homemaker, it’s important for my entire family. I want my kids to have a good day. I want my husband to have a good day.

And while I can’t control everything that happens during the day – nor should I try – I can ensure that our home is a loving and peaceful launching point for the day’s activities.

Luke 10:38-42

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.

But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Awaken Your Heart and Home to God’s Purpose

Are you a homemaker longing for a deeper connection between your daily tasks and your faith? Have you ever felt the silent call amidst the hum of washing machines and bubbling pots, urging you to draw closer to your divine purpose?

Many of us are like Martha – diligent, hardworking, lost in the tasks of the day, yet sometimes, perhaps without realizing it, missing the “better part”. Inspired by the enduring lessons from Mary and Martha, and the noble example of the Proverbs 31 woman, we’ve crafted a challenge that bridges the gap between duty and devotion.

Introducing: Be Still and Serve: Cultivating the Heart of a Home-maker

This 5-day challenge is designed to awaken you before the world stirs, aligning your heart with the One who was known to rise early, seeking solace and strength in quiet places. Jesus began His days with intention, and so can you.

Why This Morning Makeover Challenge?

In the hum of daily tasks, sometimes as homemakers, we need to pause and reorient. Our homes are not just physical spaces but should be a respite from the world. Ideally, our homes are places where faith blooms, love grows, and the word of God resonates.

With this challenge, you’ll embark on a five-day journey without leaving your home. Each day, you’ll be guided with scripture, encouraged by tasks that join homemaking and faith, and be inspired by the shared experiences of fellow Christian homemakers inside our Facebook group.

What Can You Expect?

Scriptural Foundations: Begin each day rooted in God’s Word, illuminating the path for your day’s tasks.

Morning Meditations: Quiet moments with God, discovering His purpose in the smallest of your actions.

Devotionals: Dive deep into the scriptures, finding resonance and reflection in the stories of biblical figures.

Reflective Journaling: Chronicle your journey, capturing insights and breakthroughs as they come.

Printables and Worksheets: Organized, beautiful, and immensely practical, these resources will aid you in your daily reflections, plans, and expressions of faith. (inside the membership group)

Action Steps: Tangible tasks that tie your newfound insights into practical application.

Each day, you’ll uncover a harmony between serving your home and serving the Lord. As the sun rises and your home stirs into life, you’ll find a renewed sense of purpose, anchoring your actions in faith and intention.

Why embark on this journey alone? Invite a friend, share it with your Bible study group, or bring along a fellow homemaker. Together, let’s transform our homes into sanctuaries of love, service, and grace.

What’s the Commitment?

#1 Wake up 15 – 30 minutes earlier than your normal wake-up time.

#2 Read your Bible and pray before you start the day.

#3 Make your bed.

#4 Create a simple morning routine with at least 3 of the following tasks:

  • 15 minutes or more of movement i.e. walking, workout video, stretching, etc
  • eat a healthy breakfast & tidy the kitchen
  • get dressed for the day
  • start a load of laundry
  • wipe down bathrooms (not a full clean, just a wipe down and tidy)

Are you ready to cultivate the heart of a home-maker?

This isn’t just a homemaking challenge; it’s a faith journey, a celebration of the fruit of your hands in your daily chores, and a deepening of the bond between you, your home, and Jesus.

Whether you’re seeking renewed purpose in your role as a homemaker, or simply want to start your mornings with intention and faith, this challenge is for you.
