The Sabbath Day

The Sabbath is a special day that is set apart from the rest of the week. It’s a day when we take time to rest and reflect on all of the wonderful things that God has given us:

We take time to reconnect with loved ones, to reconnect with our faith, and to renew our spirit for the coming week.

This precious time gives us space to breathe, to appreciate all that we have been blessed with, and to recharge ourselves for whatever challenges may lie ahead.

Whether we spend our Sabbaths quietly enjoying nature or engaging in more active pursuits like gardening or sports, it is always special because it reminds us of what truly matters most – our connection with God and each other.

In Exodus 31:16-17 God defines the Sabbath: " So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever;" The New Testament born again Christians celebrate on Sunday because that is the day that Jesus Christ rose from the dead. I always look forward to Sundays, for they are special...church, a big homemade meal and time spent with the family!
    1. Hi Linn! I personally celebrate Sabbath on Saturday because the covenant was never changed. Jesus never said the day of worship was changed to Sunday. I was raised going to church on Sunday though! :) Your Sundays sound like a very special time for your family!
