So, I thought I’d check in with you and let you know what all I managed to accomplish today. Not a whole lot, but I’m still feeling weak from being so sick.

• cleaned my bedroom
• washed bed linens
• vacuumed
• cleaned my bathroom
• made communion bread for church
• cleaned the living room

Currently, I’m burning some apple cinnamon scented candles around the house and have some aroma punch going on the stove in the kitchen. So the house smells good!

All in all, I feel like I was able to get done what I wanted to do today, so that was great!

It’s important when you’ve been sick to clean and disinfect the whole house, but especially the bedroom and bathroom (where I spent the majority of my time). Spray Lysol is great for door knobs and banisters and toilet handles. For the air you can cleanse germs away with spray Lysol or I like to use Dr. Richard Schulze’s Air Detox.

Now for the fun stuff. Last month I signed up for the December Cara Box Exchange. I was paired with two amazing ladies!

I sent a Cara Box to Gayle from Grace for Gayle. She’s so sweet and really spoke words of encouragement to me when I was feeling down and out about being sick for so long.

I received a Cara Box from Karie at Carrot Cake and Jeans. She sent me a very sweet, well thought out box full of goodies!

There were two draw string bags from Thirty-One Gifts, two Christmas pot holders which I love and will enjoy using in my kitchen when I do all of that Christmas baking every year. There was a recipe book called Grandma’s Recipes filled with over 700 recipes from the 20′s, 30′s, and 40′s. I have to say that gift was right up my alley! There was a box of hot chocolate mix and a stocking full of candy! Plus, Karie included (not in the photo, oops!) two jars of home canned salsa and applesauce! Yum! Oh, and I just realized I forgot to include the reusable, insulated cup/ straw with owls (how did she know I collect birds?). I adore the cup and have already been using it! It’s funny because I have looked at that cup so many times in the store, but could never bring myself to splurge! Thanks so much Karie!
