Sundays at Home {Linky Party} #2

Out walking with my sweet Caroline... Sometimes when life is really crazy or really sad, you need to take a break and unwind. | A Virtuous Woman

You know what? I am so thankful {grateful} for the warm weather and the beautiful sunshine today. Last week was rough for our family in more ways than one. I’m thankful it’s over!

I was gone a lot last week. We had a lot of emotional stuff going on last week to {funerals, doctor’s appointments, etc.}. The house fared pretty well. Well, most of it. The main areas… Today I get to stay home all day! So I’m working in my family room which has …. let’s just say I’d die if you stopped by right now!

Being intentional when it comes to our homemaking is so important! If I hadn’t already had a plan of action, last week would have broken me.

Sometimes when life is really crazy or really sad, you need to take a break and unwind. That’s what I did last week when things were so hectic, crazy, and emotional. Try to keep up with the basics – dishes and picking up the main area of the house, but don’t beat yourself up if things “fall apart” a little bit. I stayed sane by talking walks with my girls and dogs, playing board games, and just letting myself “be” quiet.

That’s why I love Sundays… I don’t have to go anywhere. We don’t homeschool. We can just catch up on the house and yardwork {if we feel like it}.

Last week, was our official “grand opening” of the Sundays at Home Blog Hop.

If you have a blog, share with us your {Intentional Homemaking} ideas, goals, and tips. If you don’t have a blog, please share in the comments. I can’t say enough about how I love comments and I love getting to know my readers better, so share away!

Spring Salad

Last week, Betty from Home Educator Mom shared this incredible looking Spring Salad recipe. I’m planning on trying this recipe soon!
