Fall has definitely arrived here in Eastern Kentucky. Our trees have lost most of their leaves and the kids – especially my grandsons are really enjoying raking leaves and then jumping in the piles!

We eat a lot of fruit, and you know, fruit tastes best when it’s in season – and fall means apples! One of our favorite places to visit in the fall is the farmer’s market in Asheville, North Carolina. The selection of apples is amazing – not to mention the pumpkins!

We live out in the boonies of Southeastern Kentucky – and the farmer’s market is a good 3 1/2 hour drive for us so we only get to go a few times a year. The good news is that even if you can’t get to the farmer’s market you can still find beautiful apples at your local Walmart. Plus, Walmart sells Yoplait Greek Yogurt – the perfect compliment to my recipe!

This recipe I’m sharing with you today is so simple to make. In fact, in the fall, I make this recipe and take it with me every where – church potluck, picnics, and it’s easy enough to pack in individual containers for family on the go – think little league.

I’ve been making this apple dip for several years now and it’s so simple even my kids like to whip it up for a quick snack in the middle of our home school days! Literally, it takes like two minutes!

The Perfect Apple Dip

  • 1 {8 oz.} package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 carton Yoplait Greek 100 Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 – 5 sliced apples
  • lemon  {optional}

Whisk together softened cream cheese and Yoplait Greek 100 Vanilla Yogurt. Add brown sugar and vanilla and continue whisking mixture until smooth.

Slice apples. If you are serving the apples immediately, you don’t need to worry about them browning. Otherwise, you may want to place the sliced apples in a bowl and squeeze the juice of a lemon over them, tossing to coat.

Serve dip in a bowl along with sliced apples on a platter. Oh, and grapes are delicious too! I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!

I’d really appreciate it, if you could share this recipe – pin the image below to Pinterest or any of the ones above. Thanks so much!
