Corn Pudding - This family favorite recipe is the ULTIMATE COMFORT FOOD!! @ AVirtuousWoman.org

I have to say that this simple recipe is the ultimate in comfort food! I was given this recipe from my mother-in-law. I make this recipe for holiday meals and it always gets the family excited! I make it for everyday meals, too.

This Corn Pudding just makes my family feel special! I am providing the regular family size recipe and the triple size as well that I make for holidays or potluck.

Corn Pudding

Family Recipe
1 can cream style corn
1/3 cup sugar
2 tbsp. flour, sifted
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper (optional)
2 tbsp. melted butter
2 eggs

Holiday Recipe (Tripled)
3 cans cream style corn
1 cup sugar
6 tbsp. flour, sifted
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tsp. salt
3/8 tsp. black pepper (optional)
6 tbsp. melted butter
6 eggs

Mix all the ingredients except the butter. Place in a greased baking dish. Pour melted butter over the top. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Note: I have made this recipe vegan with fairly good results. Simply use unsweetened almond milk and Ener-G Egg Replacer {without the added water}.

  1. I was asked by one of the ladies in our church to bring a large corn dish for a lunch we were having for a family prior to a funeral. We had so much food left over for them to take home but the corn pudding was nearly gone. The consensus was that should be my new potluck dish. It got rave reviews. I made the tripled version in a 12x12 baking dish. I didn’t change the recipe any. I did cook it for about a hour and 20 minutes. It had started to get some golden brown on top and it was bubbling vigorously when I removed it from the oven. I’m sure 1 hour for the regular sized recipe would be perfect. I appreciate you sharing with us. I love that it was your families old recipe.
