A number of years ago I wrote the series, From Chaos to Calm: 15 Weeks to a Happy Home. This 75 Day Devotional has been one of the most popular series on A Virtuous Woman. It’s been a while since we’ve done a daily challenge, and I thought this series was worth revisiting.
This time around, however, I plan to add a little more to the daily the devotions. Some days you’ll find me chatting with you on YouTube and we’ll have a weekly live chat on Periscope – a live streaming app for your smart phone, available on iPhone and Android. You can FOLLOW me on Periscope @MelissaRingstaff.
Live Streaming on Periscope: Tuesdays @ 9:00 pm Eastern Beginning Tuesday, August 11, 2015.
You’ll also find new printables to go with the series, and the 15 Week Devotional will be available in paperback or kindle by the end of August so you can follow along with the book if you’d rather – or share it with a friend!
From Chaos to Calm: 15 Weeks to a Happy Home
So what is From Chaos to Calm: 15 Weeks to a Happy Home? It’s a devotional that builds upon itself, helping you find peace in your hearts and peace in your homes.
I like to run series devotionals Monday – Friday so the weekends are free to focus on other stuff. The posts should be up by 5 am in the morning so that if you choose to use the series as part of your morning devotions you can do that.
If you have been struggling with your home, your marriage, your children, or just life in general this might be the answer you have been waiting for! We will spend 15 weeks working toward a goal for:
- peace in the heart
- peace in the home
- peace with our husbands
- peace with our children
“Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.” Psalm 107:28 – 30
Each week we will focus on a different goal building upon each one as we go. So get ready!
Begins: Monday, August 10, 2015

Homemaking is so much more than cleaning a house, cooking food, and making sure your family has clothes to wear. Homemaking is about nurturing a spirit of warmth, comfort, and love in your home.
