This is the perfect beverage for summertime. Refreshing and light. I know you’ll love this recipe!

The ingredients in the easy lemonade recipe are:

  • 4 C of pureed pineapple
  • 1 C agave
  • 1 C water
  • 3 lemons, juiced
  • 3 C cold water
  • 6 C ice cubes

Some notes about the ingredients:

For this recipe you’ll need a fresh pineapple, cut into chunks and pureed. I’ve included instructions on how to make the pineapple puree syrup in the recipe – so don’t worry. It’s not hard!

You’ll also need some agave nectar. Agave nectar is a great alternative to high-fructose corn syrup, and it’s loaded with all sorts of healthy nutrients. It comes from the fluid inside the blue agave plant. Some people believe that agave nectar is healthier than other sugars, but it’s there are no major health benefits to using agave in your recipes. It does have a lower glycemic index value though:

  • honey: 58
  • agave nectar: 19
  • refined white table sugar (sucrose): 60

The pureed pineapple will last for about 2 days if kept in a refrigerator. You can also fill an ice cube tray with the puree pineapple to add to your next pitcher of Pineapple Lemonade.
