From Chaos to Calm: Day 74

Scripture Memory: “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” John 5:13

This challenge to get our homes, our lives, and our spirits in order is nearly over!

I want you to know that more than anything you are loved. You do not have to be perfect. You do not have to have a perfect home. You don’t even have to have perfect kids or a perfect marriage. In fact, life will never be perfect. Well, that is, until we go home to meet Jesus.

Moving from chaos to calm should be a reflection of our relationship with Christ. It is more about inner beauty than the beauty of our homes. It is more about living for Him than it is about living in this world. It is more about serving Him fully than it is about serving ourselves. It is really about HIM.

Salvation is a gift that only Jesus can give. He gave His life so that you and I might one day find perfect peace and freedom from sorrow and pain. Jesus wants you for His own. He wants you to worship Him with every fiber of your being, with every breath you take, and with every act of your hand. You are His.

You will never be able to measure up, be good enough, or impress Him enough to earn your way to eternal life. That is why Jesus died on the cross for you. His blood covers your weakness and His life covers your imperfections. By faith are we saved. Our works on this earth are merely an example of our faith lived out.

If you are still struggling to get it all together, or you just have days when you want to throw in the towel, it is okay to admit you are weak, because when you are weak He is strong!

Jesus was born of a virgin girl. He lived a perfect sinless life. He died on the cross; was and is the Lamb slain from the foundation of this world. He rose again and is anxiously waiting to take us home to be with Him for eternity! All we have to do is love Him will all of our mind, body, and soul. He will take care of the rest. Lean not on your own understanding, but trust Him in all things!

This is the gift. Take it. Cherish it. Never let it go.
