This is a such a simple recipe – perfect for any day of the week! My kids LOVE grapefruit and broiling it just makes it that much more yummy.

How to Broil Grapefruit

Cut each grapefruit in half. Use a sharp paring knife to cut around the edges of the fruit, where the fruit meets the rind. Then gently cut inside the grapefruit, along the edges of the segments. Don’t cut all the way through the grapefruit, just to the rind. This process makes it easier to eat after it’s cooked.

Place them on a cookie sheet lined with foil. You can also use parchment paper, but it tend to burn quickly. Place under the broiler for about 3 to 5 minutes – watch carefully!

Once they’re done, let them cool for a couple of minutes and serve with a drizzle of honey.

Tip: Instead of honey, you could sprinkle the grapefruit halves with a little brown sugar before broiling so it gets all bubbly and caramelized. Yum!

  1. I read all the articles you posted on facebook, and my favorite was the grapefruit, next the family worship, then the endangered species. Actually they are all good.
