In our house, peaches are a special summer treat. Maybe because I grew up in Georgia where peaches grow every where. I just know we all love peaches. My daughter Emily gets so happy when I bring home peaches. I’ll also never forget the first time I ate a bowl of Breyer’s Natural Vanilla ice cream. I was 14 years old and I knew right then it was one of the best tasting ice creams I’d ever eaten. It tasted so real. No joke! Breyer’s Natural Vanilla ice cream is the perfect addition to so many yummy desserts:
- root beer floats
- scooped over a warm brownie
- served alongside blueberry cobbler
And now moms have even more reason to love Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream. Breyers Natural Vanilla is made with simple ingredients like fresh cream, sugar, milk, and sustainably-farmed vanilla beans. The milk and cream they use is sourced from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones!* We’re pretty health conscious in our family. I like serving my family real food with clean ingredients. I read labels on every package and a lot of products get put back on the shelf not purchased because of the chemicals and artificial ingredients used. So this makes me happy. This recipe is a sweet and savory mix of some of my favorite ingredients. I have a basil plant growing in my sun room, but you can easily purchase some at the grocery store. In fact, if you haven’t tried chiffoned basil with fruit – you’re in for a real treat! My girls and I loved this recipe. To quote my daughter Emily, “This is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Like heaven on a plate.” I’m sure you will love this recipe!
