  1. I feel Trunk or Treats might just be modified versions of Trick or Treats, which are definitely "celebrations" of Halloween. So to me, whether or not they're alternatives to Halloween is debatable. Just me?
    1. I feel the same. Maybe they should at least call it differently. There are many Christians who don’t celebrate Halloween but also don’t want to stay home that day because of kids ringing the doorbell constantly. It would be nice to have something like just worship service or kids Bible study at a local church!
  2. Thank you so much for this post. When I was young and my Mom became a Christian, we no longer celebrated Halloween. At the time that was strange & embarrassing to me and my younger brother, but today I'm thankful for her Godly choices. Jesus is Lord!
  3. We like to celebrate the Reformation since October 31 is also the date of when Martin Luther hung the 95 theses on the Wittenburg church doors.
  4. We haven’t celebrated Halloween in years! Traditionally we celebrate Reformation day instead by watching a Martin Luther themed movie or documentary with a bowl of candy! That has been our favorite for years!
  5. We didn't do Halloween when I was grewing up and we didn't with our own children. This year I learned about having a Light Party from livingourpriorities.com It's a pretty good idea.
