It was a campout to remember… {Part 2}

Like I said, the temperature on Friday night dropped to around 32 degrees. It was really cold and all night long I kept thinking, if only my feet would warm up! Silly me, didn’t want to crawl out of my “semi-warm” sleeping bag to put on more clothes. Nuts.

So, we woke up to frost and fog on the lake. The views were stunning.

Unlike our back packing trip when we had no guys around to get the fire going in the morning, I waited until I heard the guys up and chopping wood to climb out of my sleeping bag! My red fleece pajama bottoms look so much cuter in person.

This is a truly horrid photo of me. Thank goodness my family loves me anyway!

Warming up by the fire first thing in the morning.

Here, Jenna and Jessica ate bananas to hold them over until breakfast time.

As the sun was coming up, the view over the lake just got prettier and prettier!

After going on the backpacking trip with us, Caroline is a pro at camping!

Caroline loves to camp.

On the menu for breakfast: Hashbrowns, grits, fried eggs, and vegetarian “bacon.” I love the taste of food cooked over the campfire!

Be sure to come back tomorrow for more tales from our camping adventure!
