During our free time we made our “beds,” straightened up tents, and sat by the fire to keep warm and enjoyed some fun and laughter.

For lunch we ate haystacks – fritos, chili beans, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, salsa, and sour cream. Yum!

Before, during, and after lunch I helped the kids practice building a fire with just one match.

My daughter Sarah is really good at building fires – she built a roaring fire in the pouring down rain on our backpacking trip!

I was very proud of Hannah. She did a great job!

The afternoon turned warm. It was really a perfect day for camping.
