With Christmas right around the corner and winter definitely here where we live, I’ve been enjoying doing some fun activities with my girls to get us in the mood for Christmas. This week we plan to make some wooden gingerbread houses, do some baking, and wrap presents!
We’ve been sick the last two and a half weeks with that crazy virus that’s been going around. Ugh. I don’t recommend getting sick! I lost my sense of taste and smell and it’s been pretty sad – but thankfully the last two days I’ve been getting it back slowly. It’s not 100% yet, but definitely better than it was!
Anyway, I’m sure thankful that we made it through and everyone is recovering. I know it could have been so much worse and my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected this year.
Being sick just before Christmas was no fun and it’s taking me longer this year to really feel the Christmas spirit, but I’m getting there!
I did all of my Christmas shopping online last week so we’ve had packages arriving at the house every day. I’m usually one of those last minutes Christmas shoppers so I feel really on top of it this year!
So while this year has been rough on all of us, as homemakers we can do our part to make life a little more special for the people we love.
“I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God’s gift to man.” Ecclesiastes 3:12-13
