If you are a homeschooling mom, you know that it can be difficult to stay motivated some days. The challenges of teaching your children at home can be overwhelming at times. That’s why I’ve put together this collection of Christian homeschool quotes to encourage and inspire you! These quotes will remind you why you chose to homeschool your children, and they will give you the motivation to keep going when things get tough!

I loved homeschooling my kids and wouldn’t trade those years for anything. I can’t say I was an amazing teacher, but I certainly had amazing kids. And God’s grace and mercy is ever abundant for those hard days and those hard years.

Homeschooling gave me the opportunity to instill in my children the love of learning, rather than just teaching them to learn. To me, homeschooling is about training my children’s hearts to love God and others, rather than just teaching their minds to accumulate facts.

Today I am incredibly proud of the young adults my kids have become. I hope these Christian homeschool quotes and Bible verses will help you stay strong during your homeschool journey!

23 Christian Homeschooling Quotes

#1 “The most important work you will ever do will be within the walls of your own home.” -Harold B. Lee

#2 “Homeschooling allows you the freedom to step off the highway of learning and take a more scenic route along a dirt road.” – Tamara L. Chilver

#3 “When you homeschool your children, you have to make sacrifices: of your time, of your energy, of your money. Speaking of money, you know, when I look back, living on one income all those years meant we didn’t drive expensive cars or go on extended high-end vacations. But that wasn’t important. What was important was that we had time together…nothing can replace that. You can have that time too. Concentrate on the positives, and enjoy your time with your kids. You won’t be sorry.” -Barbara Frank

#4 “The home is the first and most effective place to learn the lessons of life: truth, honor, virtue, self control, the value of education, honest work, and the purpose and privilege of life. Nothing can take the place of home in rearing and teaching children, and no other success can compensate for failure in the home.” – David O. McKay

#5 “It’s not my credentials that qualify me to teach my child. It’s my God who made me qualified when he made me a Mom!” -Tamara L. Chilver.

#6 “Self-education is the only possible education; the rest is mere veneer laid on the surface of a child’s nature.” ― Charlotte Mason

#17 “Parents should in a special sense regard themselves as agents of God to instruct their children, as did Abraham, to keep the way of the Lord. They need to search the Scriptures diligently, to know what is the way of the Lord, that they may teach it to their household. Micah says, “What doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” [Micah 6:8.] In order to be teachers, parents must be learners, gathering light constantly from the oracles of God and by precept and example bringing this precious light into the education of their children.” – Ellen White
