Becca, bluegrass is THE music here in Southeast Kentucky. In Harlan County the radio stations play either country music or bluegrass – no rock music in these parts! I do love the sounds and we are privileged to live in an area where the bluegrass music is still sung in churches and at all the festivals. I love it! My husband had commented to my piano teacher about how the music store here in Harlan is still thriving while many music stores in small towns are going out of business. She replied, “That’s because music is a way of life here in Harlan.” It’s true.
