If you ever feel like you are “too busy” and overwhelmed by everything you have to do, it’s probably time to re-evaluate your schedule and simplify your life.

Simplifying your life really begins with looking at your current commitments and working to eliminate unnecessary items from your to do list.

Life is a series of choices. Each day we wake up and choose to do what we do. Okay, so sometimes not everything that happens is within our ability to choose. No one chooses to have a flat tire or an overflowed toilet.

For a long time I was frustrated – and I’m not sure frustrated is a strong enough word – that my life was out of my control. But there was just so much I was responsible for and I was exhausted trying to do it all. Everyone seemed to need me and everything seemed important.

Sometimes it’s hard to know what’s important when everything seems important.

So I had to make some decisions – what was really important to me. What was it God wanted me to do with my time?

I had to learn to say no.

Sometimes you say no to a good thing so you can say yes to a better thing.

Also, remember that just because something is good doesn’t mean God is asking YOU to do it.

Pray and ask God to help you use your time wisely. Cut what can be cut from your schedule and give yourself grace. Sometimes things are out of our control and life isn’t easy. But God is always in control!

Questions:
