40 Bags in 40 Days
So, what is the 40 Bags in 40 Days Challenge? Well, I’m not sure where I first heard of it – and I’m not the originator of the idea – but I thought it would be a great way to start the new year off {or any time if you’re reading this later in the year} by getting rid of excess stuff that’s taking up valuable space in my home. And if I’m going to do a challenge, why not invite all of my favorite people to do it with me?
Exactly.
How It Works
So, the challenge is simple. Buy a box of big, black trash bags. And fill one up every day for 40 days.
Okay, well, honestly you don’t have to have big, black trash bags. You could use whatever you have around your house – boxes, Wal-Mart bags, etc.
I may not get one bag done every single day. Wednesdays I’m gone from home seriously for 14 – 16 hours every week. So, those days I’m giving myself a break. However, if I’m able to I will do extra bags on another day. I also won’t be doing the challenge on Sabbath.
So, it may take more like 45 days for me to complete the challenge. That’s okay. This is real life. And real life doesn’t always go according to a nice, neat plan. Right?
